5 Hertford Street, Mayfair, London

Conversion of a derelict 18th Century listed townhouse in the centre of London’s Mayfair district was a challenge we had never faced before. Lath & Plaster works, Lime Rendering, Fibrous Cornices, Screeding and GRG works as well as modern drylining and plastering works meant we had to draw on a lot of knowledge and experience on this project.
A combination of both modern finishes and traditional building techniques due to its listed status made for the most challenging project we have ever been involved in. At every turn, a problem arose. Designed with many spaces with different atmospheres including a nightclub, three bars and a cinema room all with different specifications and acoustic requirements meant nothing was standard or repetitive and every area needed individual attention.

As always we took this challenge head-on and through the use of some exceptionally skilled operatives where able to provide a project to be proud of.

The design and quality on this project far exceeded the expectations of what is traditionally expected on a lower cost hotel chain.
We undertook the drylining, suspended ceilings, plastering and screeding on this project which consisted of 161 bedrooms, reception, restaurant and back of house areas.

The project was finished ahead of programme. We are very proud of our contribution on this project in particular it shows once again that we are able to offer outstanding quality, on programme and on budget.
